Walk on Stormy seas

The above is an excerpt from a song I wrote months ago, and it has been a constant reminder to me of where I am in this crazy journey following the Lord's plan for my life. Today was one of those days...

It's so easy for Mike or I to get discouraged if we start looking at things "logically." I often think to myself..."We are not these people! We are the practical, rational thinkers that make the responsible choices!" But in the midst of all my fear that we have made some crazy mistake, I think back on all the promises from the Lord and all the times He has confirmed to us that we are right where we are supposed to be at his exact appointed time.

When I really stop and think about how huge God is. That He holds up the heavens, commands the seas, and gives me each breath of life, my world focuses. When I realize that He CREATED me, that He has watched every second of my life. Just like a parent watches and prays, holding their breathe as their babies grow and make choices. (Whether Good or Bad) How much MORE does my creator love me and want what's best for my life? More than I even want for myself.

When I sing this song & focus my mind...I am free to let go of my fear...and trust...knowing the plans He has for me are greater than any I could ever plan for myself.
