1..2..3..JUMP!

Well here it is the beginning of a new year and I can't believe all the changes in our lives! Some good, some bad, some really sad. Ah, I'll stop there, starting to sound like Dr. Seuss! On a serious note, we finally did make the move to Pensacola, FL! After diligently seeking the Lord and wise counsel, we were confident that the Lord was directing us to pack up all of our things, rent our home out, and move back to Pensacola, FL to serve at the church where Mike had originally done his college internship, Brownsville Assembly of God.

We worked so hard to get the house ready to rent out. Mike worked tirelessly on it, finalizing alot of the renovations we had done previously started, which included the finishing touches on our kitchen, guest bathroom, walk in closet, & bead board and crown moldings in the rooms. I could not believe the finished house! We had some great friends that helped us by painting and working into the night with us so, we could reach our deadlines. Those friends ministered to us more than the could ever know and so helped us not feel forgotten as we prepared to leave the life that we had known for so long. What a blessing it is to have friends that love you, and are there for you during those times that you feel you have nothing at all to offer them. This was a hard time for us, and we are so glad it's over! The house really looked great and we were able to get renters in and settled, just the nick of time!

We are staying with my mom for now, while saving up to rent our own place. Mike has found a job here in town, and while we are praying something with more hours comes available soon, we are thankful for what we have. We have also started helping at Brownsville A/G and are just trying to find our place and figure out all that the Lord has us here for. What we are supposed to be learning, and how we are supposed to be serving. It is rather hard for us to not jump right in and stay busy in ministry, as we are so used to this, and we do love the excitement and busyness it brings. We are enjoying the extra time together though.

We love the church too. The pastors have such vision for this community and are so open to allowing God to do whatever He wants. The pastors and staff have been so good to us, we are really blessed.

And of course, we're missing students, family and friends so very much and praying that everyone knows how incredibly much we love and miss them!
