An unexpected morning

Well, I just realized how incredibly long it's been since I posted. I will one day get the hang of this thing called blogging. ;)
We have had a very busy few weeks. My awesome in laws came to visit for a few days, which is always refreshing. We love them so much and always enjoy time with them. Last Sunday something pretty unexpected happened. Our amazing worship pastor (and I really mean amazing, just ask my husband. They seem to enjoy each others company quite a bit, especially on Thursday nights, covered in dirt, playing softball together.) had a hard morning. His mother in law, Gretta's mom passed away and he had to leave service to be with his family. So, I had about five minutes to get ready to lead worship for our 10:30 service! We had never practiced, so it was quite exciting! I was honored to be able to serve our awesome music pastor & his incredible family as well as our pastor and church family. The choir and worship team were so incredible as well, they just stepped right up, gave their best, and worshiped their hearts out with me! We did the same thing the next Sunday morning (but, luckily we had time to practice ;) and things really did go smoothly. The scripture, "Be ready in season and out" sure came to mind, and I was grateful that I had taken the time to pray and seek the Lord that morning (even though I really had not been feeling well) God is so faithful, He never lets me down, and man did I realize that we really have the most incredible worship team, band and choir out there!
Not too mention the most awesome thing of the whole two weeks, I had the privilege of leading worship during altar time while my father in law got filled with the Holy Spirit! How incredible! (Here is a photo of the worship team (except Michelle) and choir& band)
