Trip to Panama City

Well, it's been about a month since my last post and I am trying to be more consistent in our postings. :) A few weeks ago, the kids and I went with a good friend of ours to Panama City, Florida, to visit family. Our friend, Lori, our worship leaders wife, was going down and offered to let us ride with her. Poor Michael only has a week of vacation for the year, so he had to stay home by himself. He was so very sweet to let us go. First we went to Pensacola for a few days and saw my family and my three year old niece, Adalee. She has grown so much in a year and had a birthday that I hated that we missed. My brother made an awesome bonfire on our last night there. We had a blast roasting hot dogs and marshmellows! It was a very cold night, dropping in the high 20's, so we stayed close to the fire! The ladies headed inside much sooner than the men, but we all had fun! Sunday morning we enjoyed a wonderful church service together. So thankful for that time with my momma, brother, and friends!

We then traveled to Panama City, where we say my awesome in laws! We were able to spend time with my nephew Joel Jr, Jillian and Michael's brother, Joel. He is getting so big and walking, we couldn't believe it! Micah went to spend the day at Wonderworks with Pops and Amelia was able to spend time with her best friend, Abby Bates. I was able to spend time with one of my best friends and mentors, Mrs. Anna. Anna and her wonderful husband, Gary have two sons, Jeremy and Nathan who were a vital part of our youth ministry at St. Andrews Assembly of God. They are incredible young men now and such joys to our life. They are both studying at Southeastern University and Jeremy was just accepted into the Navy Seal Training program! Anna is a dear friend and it was so refreshing to have time with her and see their beautiful new home in Destin.

Abuela took us to see a 3D movie, which was so fun and a super treat! We slso were able to see Breanna, Clint, Kayla and lots of old friends! There was so little time, I wish we could have spent more time with everyone, but all in all it was a great trip, just wish Michael could have been there. So thankful to our friend Lori for letting us hitch a ride!
