10 Things I Could Not Have Done Without

Here is a list of the top things that I used ALL the time the first 2 weeks and really the first 3 months after having my little Ezra. I tried to put a link to the websites where you can find them, but forgive me if they don't work.  I read so many reviews for things and really felt like so many moms want to know the answer to the question, " will I ever use that?" I wanted to help. So, thAnk you to everyone that gave us things, but a special thank you to those who had gifts that made the top 10.

Happiest Baby on the Block book (the 5 S's really work!  While a lot of it is instinctual the specifics really help when you learn to put them all together.

Sleep Sheep (Love the noises this little guy makes.  While most noise makers are a little annoying and totally unnatural sounding, this one is actually very pleasant and has an array of different soothing sounds. We clipped this to our car seat for trips on the go as well.

Aden and Anais Swaddle Blanket ( great for big babies especially because their large size allows them to swaddle the biggest of newborns for months!  Also great for summer babies. Their lightweight material keeps baby from getting too hot. Definitely worth it!

Itzbeen Timer ( Apparently there is an iPhone app for this too)

Newborn Gowns with Cuffs (keeps baby from scratching his face and gown pulls up so you don't have to mess with snaps in the middle of the night!  All my baby wore for weeks!)

Gliding Cradle (need somewhere to rock baby an breast feed comfortably)

Boppy (while I have heard really good things about the "breast friend" pillow this is what I was given and it worked well for me to give my arms a break when breast feeding.

Carseat Canopy ( this was fantastic for keeping nosy people from touching baby & for helping him sleep well when we were out. Also helped protect him from germs.  I got mine free with a coupon I found online. I just had to pay shipping.

Moby Wrap (Absolutely loved this!  Kept my baby snug against me so that he was happy and slept well and distributed the weight evenly so my back wasn't sore.

Fisher Price Rock N Play Sleeper
(This was told to me by more than one mom that it was a must have!  Some even swore that their babies would not sleep anywhere else.  It is really awesome!  Ezra slept in thi for a long time.  Til he was about 3 months old and even now he will sleep in it whenever he is sick and needs a little elevation and to be close to mommy. I had the cheaper one but they are all great!  Definitely worth it and work better than a bassinet because you can fold it up and take it to another room in a snap!
