View this post on Instagram With many new friends on here I thought it was time for an introduction. My name is Tammy & I live on the Emerald Coast of Florida. I’m a creator at heart! It is my stress reliever! Give me 5 free minutes and if I’m not taking a nap or reading a book, I’m thinking of some project I can start, room I can redecorate, or piece of furniture I can paint! I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Michael for 22 years. We have 4 kids ages 22, 16, 7 & 4. (Yes, I was a teen mom!) 😮 So, in essence we are in every stage of parenting there is right now. And it’s beautiful! With the birth of our daughter our family felt complete. ❤️ We’ve had the joy of homeschooling our oldest from Kindergarten through graduation (Yes, it really works!) and homeschooling still. Love it so much more today than I did at the beginning & know so much more than I did then too! • • • My hubby is hilarious & keeps our whole family laughing. If I had one piece of advice for a single gal, it’s marry a man who makes you laugh! He’s also incredibly romantic too, which is pretty nice. 😉 He is a pastor & I am uber involved in ministry with him. The balance between ministry and homeschooling is probably the biggest struggle that I have as both are pretty all consuming. But I also love them both terribly. Our whole family is pretty outgoing, we love people & love serving in ministry together! Probably not your average homeschooling family. We started homeschooling for the flexibility that it gave us to travel with ministry, we have kept homeschooling for so many more reasons. • • • Besides my hubby, my best friends are my adult kids. I know you’re not supposed to say that, but sorry it’s true. My teenager gets me & all my quirkiness. We can be silly together & we can share closets, which is an added bestie perk! It’s such a blessing having adult children, it’s truly caught me off guard how much I love it. I’ve been a mom long enough to realize how true the statement, “The days are long, but the years are short.” really is. • • • How about you? Tell me about yourself? Do we have any similarities?
