When Homeschool Feels Hard, Remember This

Some days feel heavier than others.   The lessons don’t land.   Attention is short.   Attitudes are off.   And somewhere in the middle of it all, you start to wonder if you’re doing enough… or doing it right at all.  Homeschooling has a way of bringing those thoughts close.  On those days, it helps to come back to what’s true.   Not what feels urgent.   Not what feels measurable. But what actually matters. Test scores are what society uses to figure what a mass amount of kid's has learned.  And they are an easy way to quickly label a child's progress.  But it isn't the only way, and to be honest, I don't think it's the best way. Because... We are not raising test scores. We are raising human souls. Children who are learning how to think, how to respond, how to persevere.
